JP8000 LCD screen died

Hi,

I've had my JP8000 since 1997. Haven't used it much in the last ten years and decided to sell it to a guy who wanted it badly. I checked that everything worked, put it in a custom made hard flight case and sent via post, marked "fragile".
When the guy picked it up he says it works fine otherwise but "the lcd screen is blank". He says it just flashes dimly on the sides when powering up and then stays blank.

I never had this issue during the 15 years I had it.

Does anyone have an idea what might cause this and whether something could be easily tried to fix it? The screen worked perfectly when I sent it. There were no battery notifications or anything.

Thanks,
Mikko

The unit was taken to a keyboard service; some component had got loose, probably because of rough handling. Took them 30 minutes to process and fix, case closed.
