Fader/Sliders/Buttons Sensibitility Help

Post by jocafever »

Hi guys!

I recently purchased an used Roland JP-8000, such an incredible synth.
Anyway, it's kinda old, but everything working.
The only issue I had with this machine is that some Faders such as Cutoff Freq., Pulse Width, etc. (probably most of the vertical faders) came with a 'distorted' sensibility, and also, some buttons like Arpeggiator MODE and ARP HOLD button you have to push it hard to make it work.
For example, when I move the cutoff frequency fader upward, which has a value between 0 - 127, on the first 1/2 of the fader it only changes the value from 0 to 32, and then, after moving up the last 1/3 of the fader, it goes from 32 to 127 with just a small movement.
Is it repairable? Is there something I can do here?
If not, does the authorized tech assistance would repair it?
Otherwise, I'll probably return it to the seller.
Really would appreciate your input on that subject.

Thanks guys

Luis
