svd files on USB not showing up

Post by martinda »

I plugged in a USB stick with SVD files on it and no files show up when I try to import. I have a Jupiter 50. I am following the instructions in the manual on page 72.

I got the SVD files after unzipping the files downloaded from here:
http://axial.roland.com/category/jupiter-50/

My USB thus has 12 SVD files on it. Nothing shows up in the import menu on the Jupiter 50.

Can someone help me see what I am doing wrong here?

You need to copy the "Roland" folder as a whole to the USB, not the individual files. Then you enter in the import menu and you import the individual ones you want.

I got something working. The ROLAND/SOUND folders must exist, because it is the only place the Jupiter-50 will search for SVD files. I placed all the SVD files in there, and now I can see them on the keyboard. The backup folder does not seem to matter when importing one sound at a time.
