Failed organs on Jupiter 50?

Post by patriot »

Hi,

I am confused. I bought used Jupiter 50. It looks like new, all works well but nearly all organs has some cracking sounds when I play them with more fingers.

For example chord:
D3-F3-A3-C3-E3 on 1662 Full D-Bars2. Lot of cracking.
On 4. octave it is okay.

With 1654 Split Organ1 it has issue even with 3 fingers only, and on 4. octave too (try C4-E4-G4).

I am really distressful. :-(.
Please may you confirm that it is "okay" for Jupiter 50 or I have broken some engine for organs???
THX!

The keyboard is likely working fine. The problem is that the default setting for a simulated overdrive effect of the simulated Leslie speaker tube amp is too high. The default setting is 100. The simulated distortion across 4 or more keys played in unison will lead to anti-aliasing from the aggregated simulated distortion buildup.

Try setting the overdrive setting to 50 or zero and see if the problem goes away.
