Supernatural Drum Kit Editing?

Post by SparkyCanada »

Hey there.

Is it possible to edit individual drum sounds in the Supernatural kits?

I need to improve the kick sound on Studio Kit 2 - it seems to be getting lost in the mix....

Thanks,

You have 6 EQ+comp channels which you can assign any individual part of the kit to enhance your mix
by default all parts are assigned to PART
in the edit screen you can assign any drum in the kit to any of the 6 EQ+comp and use them to enhance your mix.

Thanks for the quick response Quinnx!

I saw the "Part" option last night - but wasn't sure what it did.

Do I modify the "Part" option first - then would it open up the option to edit the kick (an all other parts of the drum kit)?

From within the drum kit press the key for any part (bassdrm) and change its output from PART to any of the 6 available EQ+comp channels.

Hey Sparky

If I'm understanding the question correct, (working on the unit itself) you want to make sure you are on the right channel/part and then push the edit button on the far right.
You then get options to tune and change attack and decay etc. as well as scroll through other sounds.
This can't be done with the iPad.

Thanks for the "heads up" JR on this not being able to be done on an iPad - was just thinking it might be easier to do on the iPad and was about to purchase the connector....

Definitely gettin' closer - thanks to everyone's help!
