Integra 7 as an Audio interface

I use Integra 7 as my uniqe audio interace to my DAW (Ableton). I can record first audio track without problems but while recording the second audio track the signal from the first track is recorded on the second track as well.
Am I doing something wrong? I have not clear if it has to do with Integra (Ext Channel) o my DAW (In/Out settings).

I will be grateful for your help.

Well, it seems that only workaround possible is recording in MIDI first and than export to audio.

Definitively this behaviour can be switched off. As far as I remember Integra-7 isn't recording itself when "Ext Part Source Select" in System is "INPUT" instead of "USB AUDIO". But I'm not 100% sure.

I'm afraid there is no way to do what you want by using the integra as your DAW's Audio interface, as the integra has only two Audio IN and two Audio OUT Channels on the USB interface, so it will play the DAW audio + its internal Parts on the same two channels.

there are alternatives,

the easiest one is by recording MIDI from the controller driving the integra.

But the best will be to have a dedicated Audio card, preferably with more Audio inputs, to accommodate the integra 8 channel audio capability and inclusively to allow for other Audio sources.

Yep, I think it is working like PauloF described it.
A time ago I had a Yamaha MOX and I used it as an uniqe audio interface and I had no problems like that. But MOX has 4 channels audio interface.

I my case (using Integra as a uniqe audio interface and sound module) I can´t even record 1 audio track without audio signal from metronom (if I play with metronom).

Absolutely the best will be to have a dedicated Audio card.

Thank you!

Hi Gaita, is good that you mention the MOX, as I forgot to say that a dedicated Audio card with AT LEAST 4 channel INPUT Will be enough to get out of the 2 channel integra limitation.

Before using the Focusrite Scarlet 18i8 that I have now (awesome 18 IN 8 OUT audio interface), I was using my MOXF6 as the Audio interface with very good results. I could record the MOXF's internal Parts and Integra's main OUTs connected via the MOXF's External INPUT...
Now with the Focusrite I can record 3x Integra's stereo Outs (Bass, Drums, Main)+ MOXF's + External Drum machine + iPad synths, all in Stereo, each one on its DAW audio tracks with only one and not very expensive 350 EUR interface :-).

I also had this problem. The solution for me was:

1. Record all your midi-tracks, export them to an audio mp3-file on your desk.
2. Change "System - Sound - Ext part source select" to "input". Combine output from the integra 7 and output from the headphones jack in the computer to a small mixer.
3. Use your computers sound card to play the exported sound track, use the integra 7 to record your voice. The integra 7 will not record the track played by your computers soundcard.
(4.) Also you can add a echo pedal between the integra 7 and the mixer, and turn off the motional surround. Then you can listen to what you sing through the mixers headphone jack, with a slight echo if you want, still not recording the motional surround echo. After turn the "Ext part source select" above back to "USB-audio". Now you have a dry recording which you can fine-tune the motional surround echo through as you want, using the integra 7, recording it in your daw by playing it back with motional surround turned on.

I hope you'll figure it out!
