Hello,
I would be immensely grateful if someone could tell me what the 4 studio set tone control srcs are and how and why one might want to use them. Since one can assign CC messages to these parameters, I feel like there should be some great potential hidden here, but for the love of me I just can't figure out when these controls come into play.
I have consulted the parameter guide, but it's as if I hadn't read anything - that's how informative some of the sections in that document are.
Many thanks and have fun!
What Can I Use Tone Controls 1-4 For?
Re: What Can I Use Tone Controls 1-4 For?
Here's a guess...
The default assignment is
Tone control src1 = CC01 = mod wheel
Tone control src2 = AFT = aftertouch
Tone control src3 = CC02 = breath controller
Tone control src4 = CC04 = foot pedal
So my guess is that this allows you to set up alternative midi controllers to replace what you'd normally do with a modwheel, aftertouch, a breath controller or a foot pedal. In other words: if you don't have a modwheel, but you have some other midi controller you want to use instead, you could modify the Tone control src1 CC assignment.

Thank your for the tip. I wouldn't have thought of that.
I haven't tried it yet, but will report back once I do so. Your suggestion certainly sounds reasonable.
Cheers!
