MFX CTRL doesn't have any effect

Wondering if I'm missing something here.

For the sound I'm playing, I've assigned MFX Type 31:Compressor, and ticked it so it's definitely on. In MFX CTRL, Source 1 is CC01 (Modulation), Destnation 1 is Level, and Sens 1 is 0. This should mean that sending modulation messages will affect the overall volume, right? Well, it doesn't. It just makes the sound go wibbly and nothing in MFX CTRL seems to do anything at all.

Is it possible MFX CTRL has been disabled system-wide somehow?

Have you tried setting Sensitivity to value != 0? With a negative value (e.g. -20), the level should decrease with increasing modulation, and with a positive value (e.g. +20), the level should increase with increasing modulation.
