Recreating Studio Sets with SysEx

Post by bbant »

Hello, due to the Integra-7 limitation of having only 64 studio sets (as far as I am aware), I ned to find a way of using MIDI to recreate Studio Sets.

Is there a way to dump an entire studio set to MIDI/SysEx and recall it by playing it back from Cubase?

Other than that I would need to dump track parameters. I can see most of the usual ones are covered by MIDI controller messages, but it doesn't appear that the audio output for each channel 1-16 is covered. Also EQ settings, not sore how to implement those.

Is there a good Integra 7 SysEx tool? I'm not familiar with using SysEx.

Thanks.

To select Tones or Studio Sets in the Integra-7, use the following standard MIDI protocol for selecting sounds:

Bank Select MSB (CC00)
Bank Select LSB (CC32)
Program Change (PC)

The following messages are used to select the 64 Studio Sets:

MSB = 85
LSB = 0
PC = 1-64

You must transmit these messages on the Studio Set Control channel that is selected in the Integra-7. This is MIDI channel 16 by default but you can change this with the following procedure:

Press MENU.
Cursor to "SYSTEM" and press ENTER.
Cursor to the "MIDI" tab at the top of the screen.
Cursor down to the "Studio Set Control Channel" option and use the value dial to select the desired MIDI channel.
Hold SHIFT and press the EDIT button to save this setting.
