Free FA Overlays from Roland
Re: Free FA Overlays from Roland
Give the rest of Roland a chance to catch up. This is probably an initiative started by Roland US. The other countries might make the same offer in the near future, like they did with the other overlays. I sure hope so. I want a set for mine here in Canada.

Re: Free FA Overlays from Roland
I was really surprised that roland germany knows about those overlays, and that they sent them to me. Im sure that there will be a way for roland to ship them to all countrys they sell products in.
Re: Free FA Overlays from Roland
Ditto, in Canada here and I just got a used FA-08 and I'd love to upgrade it with these overlays. I guess I could have them shipped to my US mailbox but that would be more of a hassle.SynMike wrote:Give the rest of Roland a chance to catch up. This is probably an initiative started by Roland US. I got mine yesterday from Roland CE (Belgium, Luxembourg, France and the Netherlands), and didn’t even register yet.

Got mine today. No registration, I used the service request form on Rolands website.
Re: Free FA Overlays from Roland
i also got mine, looks much better.
But its hard to find the right angle so that the red doesnt shine through.
I already used the small glue things to keep it in place.

Thanks for starting this post to inform users about the overlays. I emailed Roland on Sunday and received mine today. My keyboard is used a lot so this gives it a new look again.
Re: Free FA Overlays from Roland
Sadly, no answer from Roland Italy, after 7 days...

What do you mean with small glue things? I want to glue the overlay to the FA 06 but I am afraid that regular glue can felt through the overlay so It won’t be as smooth as ist is without the glue.Rupertt wrote: I already used the small glue things to keep it in place.
Re: Free FA Overlays from Roland
Just received the new overlays from Roland UK for my FA-08.
Much easier to read, well made and very easy to fit.
Thanks Roland.

Re: Free FA Overlays from Roland
It's best to use glue as it may react with the paint or plastic on the inserts.
It would be better to use double sided tape.

Sounds good, what method did you use to contact them?Emmerson wrote:Just received the new overlays from Roland UK for my FA-08.

Re: Free FA Overlays from Roland
on each corner of the overlay there is a small dot on the bottom. that are doubled sided tape, you have to peel one side off. at least mine came with those.R.U.Doin wrote:What do you mean with small glue things? Re: Free FA Overlays from Roland
I have tried to order an overlay from Roland in Canada, not available yet. Not a USA resident was the reply. Hopefully, the overlay will be available in Canada.
