I should have checked the Roland site first, but I haven't, so just to share:

Don't upgrade to Catalina yet, if you still plan to connect your Roland FA to your mac.
Wait for the new drivers...

With apple OS updates (or any new KB release) I usually wait about a year for everybody else to catch up.

Unfortunately I hadn't decided to hook up my gear to my desktop until after upgrading iOS. Do we even know if/when Roland (or anyone else for that matter) plans on updating drivers?

Uh-oh. I’m running the latest Mac OSX Catalina and ordered the FA07 model, should be here next week.

The latest drivers work fine with my FA-06 and I'm using macOS 10.15 (Catalina). Just ensure you download the latest drivers from the Roland website (at the time of writing: "FA-06/FA-07/FA-08 Driver Ver.1.0.4 for macOS 10.15").

The previous posts were just warning that it's a good idea to wait before upgrading to major macOS versions; to give Roland time to upgrade the drivers.

Thank you for the heads up. I did all the updates and no issues occurred. I was concerned about the update screwing up my Mackie MCU Pro functionality. All good.

I’m trying to figure out why my sustain pedal action doesn’t work during sequence playback. It works fine during recording. I’ve read somewhere you have to keep the sustain pedal depressed when you hit the stop button. I’ll check It out later.
