Arpeggiator section

Post by Hugo »

Very nice new synth from Roland :-)
Does anyone know what the arpeggiator section is like?
Is it possible to program one's own arp patterns?

Cheers

From the sonic state preview I understand that it has the same arpeggiator as the Jupiter, but there were no further details.
If this is the case then you could import Midi files.
This works very nice in my JP80.

So you import midi files and then convert these to arpeggios? Hmm, that could definately work. Would be cool, however to be able to program them on the FA itself

I don't known but in the Jupiter that's not possible, so I guess not.

You can change some settings in the Jupiter, but not really make your own arpeggio's.
However, importing your own sequences can be very handy and a lot of fun.

Ok, thanks for the insight. It'll be exciting to see the FA's solution. I must say I'm really impressed so far, great job by Roland! :-)

But the Jupiter hasn't got a sequencer.......

I didn't say it has.
I only said that you can import Midi sequences into the arpeggiator.

Maybe I misread your post, but I thought you meant you can't make your own midifiles to use them as arpeggiator because it is not possible on the Jupiter.......

Never mind though....

So as I see it, if it is the same arpeggiator as on the Jupiter 80, than on the FA-06/08 you can make midifiles and import them as arpeggiator......

Correct, just can't actually create them on the JP itself
