Aira Synth???
Re: Aira Synth???
At first I though that photo was just a view of the buttons/pads on this drum machine (which i am looking forward to) but now I'm wondering if the OP is right, those are keys. A new Roland VA would be welcomed I think. SuperNatural (Fantom G, Jupiters etc) was just the beginning of this new platform it seems. Interesting.

Re: Aira Synth???
Hey, been a while.
I know that Roland is trying to woo back the EDM market which has fallen in love with the new KORG and Arturia gear. But what I'm hoping is that the synth is a JD-800 on steroids, which it likely could be easily if they use the Jupiter SN synth engine with those PCM waveforms included, and a nice effects chain. That would play well with the Jupiter, Integra or the new FAs, and give us those controls we've been hankering for. Whatever it is, I bet it's full of win.

The new pics and movies gets me more interested and makes me more curious.

Re: Aira Synth???
This is ridiculous....I sat here for 20 minutes trying to enhance the text on the keyboard between Roland and System - 1:) What does it say?

Re: Aira Synth???
I'm hoping that Roland doesn't just make a dance oriented synth, but a four or five octave guy for us synthesists, based on the Jupiter engine. I'm ready to buy a JD-8000.
Re: Aira Synth???
Ik hope that "System-1" will refer to the earlier products that had System in their name.
If it is something virtual modular I can live with a small keyboard.
There is also been speculated that it can contain different instruments (like VariOS, V-synth) and that can also be interesting for me.
If the TR-8 sounds good and has a nice price I am glad to get one in my setup.

Neat. Here's a photo where you can see a few more words. Something along the lines of "Plug-OST Synthesizer?" Plug-Out? Plug-Act? Plug Air? I don't know.

Re: Aira Synth???
wouldn't it make more sense to put the keyboard down at the bottom & the drum machine up on top?

Re: Aira Synth???
In EDM, most people end up playing drum machines and records than synths. ;P
Or... maybe that was your point... never mind.
