Saving Rhythm Patterns

Post by digiplay »

Hi everyone, I hope you're all having a GREAT weekend!

I have two questions about the Rhythm Patterns.

1) Can I save/backup (and how) all the Rhythm Patterns (Preset and User) that are in the FA-08?
2) I know that the FA can import SMF's into the Rhythm Patterns. Does that mean all the Rhythm Patterns I refer to above are saved as SMF's as well?

Thanks

Looking at page 14 and page 94 in the Reference Manual, it states that all changes we make to preset Rhythm Patterns can be saved and backed up. However, I don't see anything about exporting the preset Rhythm Patterns (doesn't mean I'm absolutely sure it can't be done, but I can't find anything on it).

As far as what form the exported user Rhythm Patterns take, check page 108 to see the Folder Structure of the SD card. One of the export folders indicates its for SMF data, so perhaps that's where those Rhythm Patterns would go. I haven't edited any and/or backed them up, so I can't check this for you.

Edit: Also, check page 38 for more on importing SMF data to create an original Rhythm Pattern.
