Has anyone gotten DAW mode to work with a non-pre configured template?
Admittedly, I didn't really dig too deep, but on my first attempt, I wasn't able to get the transport to control Digital Performer. I'll keep at it.

Same here, Abeck: I had a quick go and can't get it to work with Audacity, either. I wonder can I use the FA as an audio interface to overcome latency issues. I mean when overdubbing within Audacity leads to tracks being out of alignment?
