FA-06 loading SMF

I just purchased the 06 to replace my aging Fantom S. I have about 200 SMF songs I've created with the Fantom that I use live. Is importing them then converting each one the only way to get them in the 06? I am hoping I missed something in the manual allthough tech support guided me this way to do it.
