Powering off using a Master Switch?

Post by prflat »

A quick question for the electro-techies...

I am designing a cabinet/desk for my FA-08 that includes speakers, sub, and an amp. In order to make it simple (so the kids will use it) and elegant, I am planning on having everything powered through one wall switch. That way you can flip one switch and get rocking. So, my question, does the power switch on the back of the 06/08 do any 'smart' stuff (delays, etc.) or is it just a dumb switch like a power strip?

I.E., are there any issues powering and de-powering the 06/08s using a power strip switch (for example)?

Thanks in advance!

Hello Ronen,

There should be no problem using a power strip or master power switch to control the FA-08. The only issue we would be worried about would be a 'pop' in your speakers when you power on the whole system at the same time.
