Shift Button

Post by bennyseven »

We use the shift button where the menues are designed for it.
But again, like the Fantoms, the Shift Button is my best friend when it comes to quick access to some functions.
I hope it is helpful for you, it is not in the manuals.

Code: Select all

Shift INC/DEC or DIAL = inc/dec values by 10 (within Tempo this is for the decimals)
Shift Arrow right/left = jump within the edit or list submenues
Shift Arrow up/down = jump to next type section (Sound TYPE SN-A, PCMS, GM2, Ext or BANK)
Shift PREVIEW = Preview is locked and playing in loop. Switching a Tone plays next preview.
Very good tool when browsing the sounds.
Shift DBeam Assignable = DBeam System Setup
Shift and turn Knob 1-6 = Knob 1-6 System Setup
Shift S1 / S2 = Switch Assign Studio Set Common
Shift Loop = Loop Setup
Shift Sequencer = Mixer or switch between Mixer and Sequencer
Shift Record = Step Rec Standby
Shift Pad Utility = Pad Mode Menu
Shift Key (Note) = set direct splitpoint or zone instead dialing the note

Great idea!

There's also SHIFT-ARP to take you into the arp setup

Shift-Tap brings a little metronome window, allowing you to enable it whenever you need it. Much quicker than browsing through the system menu.

You don't need to hit shift for the window to appear, just pressing tap once will bring that up. Or are you in some other type of mode?

Doh! You are absolutely right. There's no need to press shift, "tap" is sufficient. I'm ashamed of myself, now...

In micro-edit pressing shift and cursor up or down will highlight multiple entries so erase could then be used on all of these in one go.
