Keyboard velocity or sens like organs

Post by Xfeten »

Hello again. I need your help to an easy question.

I,m want to modify the keyboard sensivity (velocity) on a studio set part. I need that part sounds always at the same level whatever the strenght or pressure i play the keys, like the organs sounds do. I,ve been looking on the keyboard tab parameters but i cannot solve this. The manual doesn,t help me.

Thanks a lot in advance.

I don't think you can modify the velocity response in a Studio Set, and just turning off velocity control in Global will affect ALL voices on the synth.

It depends what engine is creating the original organ program:

Supernatural Acoustic - no velocity control (always the same level)
Supernatural Synth - Velocity control is on the VCA page (Velo Sense Knob)
PCMS - Velocity control is on the TVA page (Level V-Sense)

Edit the original program and re-save the settings - you should be good to go.

Finally, with andy,s help, i think i,ve got it.

In the pcm parts you can go to studio commons, keyboard tab. The last of their parameters v.sens affects to sensivity, no keyboard sensitivity at all is -63 value (negative value). I think this way is nicer or at least more comfortable. ;)

Hope it helps somebody.

Hello xfeten,

go to TONE EDIT and then to the TVA tab, dial Level V-curve to FIXED.
Better to set in a tone, because setting velocity values in a studio set are added to the tone values.
Not allways easy to overview those math things.

Remember this value is shared with the Cutoff V-curve value, that means, all filter reactions to the velocity are supressed. Only a problem, if you want fixed volume but filter actions on velocity.
