Copy not working

Hi All,

I'm creating a jazz song and when I record the first four bars on track 1 for piano, and then copy that 20 times to the end of the four bars, it works fine. But then I record the first four bars of the percussion on track 10 and go to copy it exactly same way I did for the piano it says, song full.

Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong?

Are you selecting the track to copy (in this case 10) and are you setting the start and end and copy destination of the bars you want to copy?

Hi,

Yes on both questions.

It was on track 10, and the selection to copy was from bar one to the end. There were only four bars recorded.

Strangely it works fine if I copy the first track, which is also 4 bars long, but when I go to copy any other track it says, "song full". I have tried this on track 2,3 and 4, it always says "song full".

Any other thoughts?

Just to eliminate something first: if you are copying 4 bars of track 10 when the song is 20 bars long, you need to specify the end of track 10, which is at bar 5. If you leave it set to END, it will copy track 10 at the end of the song, not the end of track 10.

I'm sure we can get this sorted, but need to go through a few things first.

I tried that. I also set the copy to bar 5 for track 10. Then it would only let me copy it once. 2 and above copies were jot available. Any more thoughts?

Could you be filling the memory with controller data?

When I get in front of my FA later, I'll do what you are describing and see what happens.

I carried out the actions described in your first post with no problem. Are you still having the same issue? Perhaps resetting the FA might help.

No, not yet. I have another issue that I'm trying to solve now also. A corrupt SD card.

Will let you know if I sort it all out.
