Sample question
I uploaded some samples into the FA the other day and they all sound completely blown out and over distorted, like unlistenable. Super loud, basically just noise. I assumed it would be the bit rate but they are all fine. Some samples imported correctly- does anyone know why this happened?

If your bitrate/sampling frequency is all good, then at a rough guess I would say it's the Sample Playback volume. By default, it's set to max (127) Try lowering to see if it helps. Also check if the Effect Switch in the sample edit screen is on, and if it is, are there any effects selected in the Studio Set you are using that would affect playback.
The other thing to check is if you are sampling from either the Audio Input or over USB (as opposed to importing files from SD card) check the Audio Input levels. If your samples are already "mastered", with comp/limiting etc. then having the playback or input volume too high will result in some serious clipping and distortion.
