Change Key

Post by Robken2000 »

Hi All,

I've discovered that my FA-08 is not playing in C Major. I used a chromatic testing app and an acoustic instrument (trumpet).

When I hit middle C, it sounds B flat. I had no idea.

I have changed the Master Tune, but can only get it as low as C sharp.

I hope there is a way to adjust this on the FA-08, but I can't find it, any thoughts?

Cheers

C sharp??? That's higher than C.

On Menu -- Sound there's Master Tune -- set this 440.0Hz. (Is this what you adjusted?)

Below MasterTune there's Master Key -- make sure this is set to 0.

Also, press the Transpose button. Does it say 'Off'? if not, adjust it using the + and - keys.

Finally, check that there's no transposing on your current part by going to Part View -- Pitch, and checking the Coarse value for each part.

(BTW saying that your keyboard doesn't play in C major isn't the right way to put it. It's not supposed to 'play' in any key, whether C major or otherwise.)
