Quick arpeggio tip

Post by Lunar »

Go to the Jupiter 80 Axial page and download the Synth Legends pack, in the folder you will find a sub-folder called Arpeggio Patterns. These are just short MIDI sequences (SMF) for the JP80 but will work on the FA when imported to a user arpeggio slot. Nearly 300 of them including some good bass arps & patterns designed specifically for the Synth Legends tones on the JP80 - the TB-303 sequences are particularly good - and they work great with the almost identical Integra/FA legends pack. Some sequences are duplicated in the Pattern motif of the preset FA arps, but most seem to be original.

Hi all,

Sorry for being one of those guys, but I am having a massive issue doing just this. I can't get my Roland FA-06 to read anything I've downloaded from Axial.

I download the file. Unzip, take the .bin, put it on my USB. When I get to the Wave Update Mode, it shows nothing.

Can anyone help direct me here?

Again, sorry to be a pain, but appreciate any help.

Let the great Ed Diaz guide you! :)

And this is for EXP expansions:-

Two different methods depending on which expansions you're trying to load.

Thanks for the reply!

Ed Diaz has been a savior, He has been a tremendous help with the videos.

I have seen both of those videos, I can get the SVD files loaded via the SD card.

It appears that my problem is the Expansions with the USB.

More Specifically the Bank Packs, I believe is what I was trying to load.

Every time I drag the .bin file over to my empty USB, I follow the instructions and when I hold the preview button to get to the update mode, It doesn't show that I have anything to upload or assign. That is my problem, it doesn't recognize anything on my USB.

I was reading through the comments. One guy had suggested doing a factory reset, because he had the same issue. I am afraid I will lose all of my custom studio sets.

Which file did you download from the axial? Can you post a link (URL).
Did you try with a regular FA EXP pack? When pressing PREVIEW on startup, what shows up on the screen?

Jimmy- Your USB Stick is formatted correctly i guess? I'm presuming it has to be FAT32, like most hardware requires.

Also, is it a single partition on your USB Stick? And it's not too large capacity is it? Some larger capacity sticks can be a nuisance.
