Pressing the Octave button blues...
Is this realy necesary? how do you turn Off this 'i MESSAGE', it is very anoying, rude, and distracting! if there is no way, I sure hope it gets fixed in an update.....

No offense, but it doesn't bother me.
I suppose the logic (it's Roland, so there's no such thing) is that if you've pressed the button twice, and hadn't thought about it for a while, you may not be sure if it's up 1, 2, or 3 octave since the red indicator just tells you it's not normal, but "up". Pressing the button again displays the message so you can see where you were (of course doing so moves it up or down one unless you're 3 up and you press up again or 3 down and press down again). I suppose if you were changing more frequently between 2 up and 3 up, or 1 up and 2 up, or maybe going from 2 up to 1 down (where you'd need to be able to see the changes) it makes sense. But I guess for "ordinary" use of just shifting it up or down one octave in either direction, it's kind of TMI.
But it doesn't stay on the screen long. I actually find it helpful.

It should only stay on for a few seconds after you press it.
