So I'm in the process of replacing an aging Fantom X that's getting wonky. I only play live using layers&splits. Prefer non-weighted. Don't really use sequencing and such. Can't make up my mind between this, MOXF, a Krome, or something cheaper with decent polyphony.

Thoughts?

I know you say replacing a Fantom, but are you actually get rid of it? If you aren't i'd go for the MOXF to give you plenty of variety in your setup.

If you are getting rid of it, then, well, you may enjoy the Roland sound better as that's what you're accustomed to so the FA is the good choice as you're getting most of what you had before PLUS the supernatural engine.

Krome is very hot and cold for me, you need to try one really.

Sadly, I'm going to have to replace the Fantom. It's doing random odd sound glitches at the worst possible times. I've grown accustomed to the Roland way of things, but I have fond memories of a Yamaha Triton too.

Crazy question: Can Fantom patches be converted over? I have a few homemade "The Edge" delay guitar patches I'd hate to have to recreate.
