I've only ever managed to play max of 4 samples at once, anyone know what Roland are referring to when they state 8 note polyphony?

I just tried. Sure enough, it's mono versus stereo.AnalogHero wrote:Maybe a typo? Or is it mono? Only 4 for me ar once.
I just made a (mono) kick drum, snare, ride, shaker, and woodblock sound so I'd be sure I could hear them all and sure enough, all 5 played.
I recorded them directly from the keyboard. Not sure how it would work importing a wav or something.

Oh so that's interesting, we can have 8 pads at once if mono?
Oh man, i wish you could playback samples when recording new ones - 8 mono would actually be really really useful!!!!

Yes it seems so. I only tried 5 but since the 5th one worked and it's 8 note polyphony I would assume that you can have 4 Stereo Pads at once, or 8 Mono Pads at one.Skijumptoes wrote:Oh so that's interesting, we can have 8 pads at once if mono?
Also, since you could theoretically intermix, you could have 1 Stereo Pad and 6 Mono ones at once, and so on.
