Rythym and Phrases?

Post by steve77 »

Does this come with the Rythym Patterns
In other words some internal drum and bass accompinent
Built into the keyboard with programming yourself
Or like the Yamaha MX series?

Just curious
Thanx

It has some basic rhythm patterns yes, but they're not very fluid, you basically get a selection of styles (30 i guess?) and each style you can pick the kit to use, and within that the buttons allow you to swap between Intro, two variants and a fill for each, and an ending.

As for bass, you would need to use studio set mode and assign a bass part to an arpeggiator, split the low octaves for just bass notes, and via the arp get it to hold, then create a second/third/fourth parts for your chords/melody/right hand - not really ideal, i mean it's possible, but it's nothing like what you'd expect from an arrange keyboard, or what the Yamaha keyboards deliver with auto-accomp.

As it's a workstation though, you can sequence all those elements yourself and arrange via the sequencer functions. Which ultimately is a deeper function, but less 'live' and instantaneous than what Yamaha offer.
