Hey Steve,

This forum is active, but not really busy so sometimes replies take a while. But it's a good place, there are some experts here for sure.

Try looking into Part View and MFX edit. You should be able to at least turn off the rotary effect on the piano tone if not replace it with something else.

Hopefully, one of the experts will chime in with a definitive answer.

Good luck!

I tried to replicate your problem and finally found the issue. Start from 'FA Preview' Studioset, hit "Dual' Button, Part 1 -> "Full Grand 1", Part 2 -> "B3 Jazz 1". Nice Layer of Piano and Organ. So whats wrong?

You control Rotary slow/fast speed with S1. In the initial studioset this is assigned to 'modulation'. Only the organ tones are reacting with rotary speed change to this controller. The piano sound reacts with modulation, which might give the impression there is also some 'rotary' thing going on.

The solution: Make the piano part blind to the modulation controller. Go to 'part view' screen, select 'Midi Rx Filter' tab, goto colunm 'MD' and disable MD for part 1. If you use an expression pedal you would also like to disable 'EX' for the piano part, so you can control the level of the organ only, while the piano level stays constant.

Hope this was your problem,

... or you like to disable the hold pedal ('HD') for the organ part.
