I've Recently Started Using My ROLAND FA 06 Again ...
However I'm Now Using An Eternal Keyboard ( A Roland A-800 PRO ) To Control It ...
So I'm Now Using The FA 06 Purely As A Sound Source / External Module ( ? ) ...
I've Attached The A-800 PRO To The MIDI In Of The FA 06 ...
And Everything Is Operating As It Should ...
When I Play The Keys Of The A-800 PRO It's Playing The Sounds From The FA 06 ...
The CHORD MEMORY ( When Lit ) On The FA 06 Is Operating When I Use The A-PRO 800 ...
So Yes Everything Seems To Be OK ...
Except For The ARPEGGIO ( Arpeggiator ) On The FA 06 ...
When The ARPEGGIO Key Is Lit On The FA 06 ...
I Then Press A Key On My A-800 PRO Keyboard The FA 06 Refuses To Arpeggiate ...
In Fact There Is No Sound To Be Heard At All ...
When I Press The ARPEGGIO Key Again And It's Unlit The Sound Of The FA 06 Returns ...
I've Perused This Site And Found Several Pieces Of Advice ...
ie I've Set The REMOTE KEYBOARD SWITCH To ON In The MIDI SYSTEM SETUP Menu ...
And Apparently This Should Have Solved This Issue I Have ...
But It Has Not ...
Where Am I Going Wrong ? ...

And According To The PART VIEW MENU On The FA 06 I've Muted ( ie Activated MUTE SOLO On The FA 06 ) All Of The MIDI Channels On The FA 06 Besides MIDI Channel 6 On My FA 06 ...
Which Was In Full Operation The Other Night ...
ie The FA 06 Was Set Up To Only Produce Sound On MIDI Channel 6 Alone ...
Which It Was Doing The Other Night ...
But Now ? ...
I'm Hearing "0001:Full Grand 1" On Every MIDI Channel 1 Through To 16 ...
And Now I'm Truly Fed Up ...
I'm Now Thinking Of Abandoning Using The FA 06 As An External Sound Source ...
It's Beyond Frustrating Now ...
And I Think I've Reached My Limit ...

However I Even Experienced Problems With That ...
In REASON 11 ( My DAW Of Choice ) The FA 06 Was Playing My VIRUS TI 2 ( Which Is Set Up To Produce Sound On MIDI Channel 1 Alone ( ie The VIRUS Is In SINGLE MODE ) ) On Every MIDI Channel 1 Through To 16 ...
So Here In Lies The Question ...
Should I Consider Abandoning Using The FA 06 As An External Sound Source And Use The FA 06 As My Main Controller ? ...
I Must Admit That I Am Now Thinking Of Using It As My Main Controller ...
