FA06 Sample pads as a seperate instrument

Post by Deadkeys »

Hey Folk
Recently sold my FA6 and got a MODX6 but miss the pad sound sampling triggering and looping feature.
Are these features available as a stand alone product by Roland or any other brand?
Thanks
James

A Roland SP-404 series sampler is basically what's integrated in the FA series.

Thanks D.

Seams a bit complicated and made for hip hop artists. Im looking at something a bit simpler. Looked at the Akai MPX 16...but it gets mixed reviews

I had Akai MPX-8, and that thing is a most incompetent peace of gear I ever had. It will produce some noisy scratches by itself at the end of the sample when you play it. Or it will by itself produce a double signal with delay of its own. Nothing helped, although I fully followed the procedure and use of original Akai program. Got rid of it for a cheap money. I think that it even had the "professional" inscription, what a mockery of a once reputable name.
