Bag or case recommendation for FA-06

Post by Bratan »

I'm not gigging musician, but I'm looking for an OK case/bag for occasional transportation (in the car) and storage of my FA-06 keyboard. Looking for a nice padding and best fit for this keyboard. Nothing too expensive (probably under $100). Any suggestions?

Any bag or case that is dust proof to NASA specifications will do.

I use the Roland Juno Bag (Gig Bag for Juno-Di, Juno D and Juno-G), which is fitting exacrly for the FA-06. The advantage is, that you also can use this case as a backpack (on a bike, a bicycle, in tram and so on). Very cool!

All these are good options. I have used a Gator slim GKB gig bag. I have used it loads over the past 5 years or so and is still in great condition. It has protected the FA well and more importantly for me it just fits perfectly on my car's back parcel shelf, which means I can keep the keyboard away from the heavy gear I put on the back seat and boot.

Oh wow thank you, looks like a winner! I'll see if it's in stock.
EDIT: Oh no, looks like it was discontinued :(

Saw this in Facebook: apparently some firearms cases are excellent choice for the Roland FA06, fit perfectly and are about half the price of a case designed for 61 keys instruments.

I have a cheaper version of this one:
https://www.bax-shop.nl/keyboard-tassen ... 61-toetsen
I don't have the wheels. I use it to gig, but I do am careful.

Other options:
- cheapest: https://www.bax-shop.nl/keyboard-tas/ga ... n-keyboard
- most expensive: https://www.bax-shop.nl/keyboard-flight ... keyboardin
- in between:
https://www.bax-shop.nl/keyboard-flight ... n-keyboard
https://www.bax-shop.nl/keyboard-tas/ga ... n-keyboard

It is in Dutch, but you can see the price and the name of the bag.

Hope this help!

Thanks everyone for all recommendations! I went with "gun" case, should get it in a week or so. I just hope I don't' get mistaken for a mass shooter or something lol..

Ok I got this firearms case. It sure is tactical, heavy (probably 3x more than keyboard itself) and strong as hell. It even creates total vacuum seal... On the other hand fit is a bit too tight, I don't think I can also fit power supply it in. It uses "pluck" foam so you can form it around any object. Unfortunately after "plucking" i have very thin border remain and it doesn't stay square so it's really hard to put keyboard in. I might just glue some foam around the case this will probably work better. Included bottom foam piece is too thick so case won't close with keyboard in it, so I had to get rid of it. Currently no cushioning on the bottom of the keyboard, it's laying on the hard plastic, maybe feet will add some dumpening...
Overall not bad!

I have this one; it is not exactly a budget option but in my opinion the ideal one; has backpack-option but easy to carry in hand, well-padded, perfect fit.
