Sample volume level

When I record a new sample, the volume level is always preset at 127. Which is maximum therefore giving you no headroom if in performance you wish that sample was louder compared to the other sound you’re using. How can you change that so that when you record a sample that volume level is at a lower setting?

Just got FA06 today but I figured it out. Go into Sample then edit
