Assign hold pedal to specific tones?

Post by Toce »

Hi,

Simple question. Is it possible to assign the hold pedal action only to specific tones inside a Studio set?. I mean, you press the pedal but it only affects to specific tones and not to all of then. This would be fantastic to avoid the "sonic mud" that isusually created when you press the pedal for a long time.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, Yes.

Go to Part View, toggle to the right until you get the MIDI RX FILTER screen. If you scroll to the right again until you select the HD column. Here you can select each of your 16 channels and select wether you want HOLD on or off for each channel.

Get used to this page as it allows you lots of flexibility many of which will sort out 'sonic mud' when you only want some controls to affect certain channels and not others.

Expression, modulation and pitch bend are also parameters which you will find need to be selected per channel.

MIDI RX is short for midi RECEIVE.

If you go onto linking the FA to other keyboards or midi based hardware/software the next two screens give you similar selection for what the keyboard TRANSMITS out to other equipment for hold, expression etc.

Enjoy the flexibility the FA gives.
