Is there anyway to override the default pad light flash time and set this to flash at the selected metronome speed?
I would like to set this for each studio set but although it is possible to set the metronome differently for each, the pad flash frequency is the same regardless meaning there are different light pulses - it would be useful to have this synced but not sure where this would be set if it is even possible?

You can't change the pad's flash time. It is what it is. (Would be a useful feature though.)
The Sequencer "Play" button flashes the current tempo. That's it.
Tempo will automatically get saved with a Studio Set if you have "Tempo Assign Source" set to "Studio Set" instead of "System". (Pg. 101 reference manual.) System/Sync Tempo/Tempo Assign Source/Studio Set
The "Play" button LED will flash at the saved tempo.
