Keys transposing and volume issues
Keys transposing and volume issues
Help! We've had a Roland FA-08 since 2017, but recently it started acting up. At totally random points, a key will play the wrong note; or play two notes at the same time. In addition, a key may play at the right pitch, but at the wrong volume. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. I've done a factory reset, and formatted and re-installed the SD card, doesn't fix it. Any ideas?
Re: Keys transposing and volume issues
The first thing that comes to my mind is that the key contacts of the keybed need to be cleaned.
I have no specific experience with cleaning the key contacts of a FA-08 but with most keyboards it is a similar process. Perhaps look at some tutorials on opening and cleaning a synth keyboard? If you're not that technical it is probably better to contact your dealer/local music shop and let them clean the contacts. This usual is not difficult and not expensive.
