TR-8 multiple outs in Pro Tools
TR-8 multiple outs in Pro Tools
Does anyone use the multiple out function in Pro Tools? Do I need to get Ableton?
Re: TR-8 multiple outs in Pro Tools
I use the TR-8 Multitrack with Protools, I'm still trying to figure out how to Slave the TR-8 to PT though.
You have to change the Playback Engine setup in the Set up menu in PT to TR-8, then Make 14 Mono tracks in PT. Assign the tracks and then you'll get each individual drum sound.

Here's the Track layout :
After your DAW is open, simply set the playback device as the TR-8 and set up your I/O to reflect the 14 inputs and 4 outputs.
Here’s the breakdown of the audio inputs:
1. Mix Out L
2. Mix Out R
3. Bass Drum
4. Snare Drum
5. Low Tom
6. Mid Tom
7. High Tom
8. Rim Shot
9. Hand Clap
10. Closed Hihat
11. Open Hihat
12. Crash Cymbal
13. Ride Cymbal
14. External In
In order to capture the Scatter effect, Accent, Reverb, or Delay, you’ll need to use the Mix L and R channels.
