I am brand new to synths. I bought the Aires system 1 as well as the TR8. I wanted to use one set of speakers in stereo so I bought a behringer 802 mixer. If I start TR8 than synth will not work properly; it will not even let me switch off to manual. If I turn on the System 1 first than the tr8 is unresponsive to pushing any buttons. (it is lit up). their are dashes across the led.
I would appreciate any information to help. I did not buy the Mx1 because roland tech support said it was not necessary.

can you give us a little bit more information how you connect your hardware?
what speakers do you have and how do you connect it with the behringer 802 (which cable) ?
is the tr-8 and system-1 connected via a MIDI cable? (tr-8 "MIDI-OUT" -> System-1 "MIDI-IN")
