MiDI per Pad?

Post by amos922 »

Are you able to route the different pads to a different midi channel within your daw? If so how do you go about? If not what is the best work around?

No, I don't think that is possible, in fact there is a bit of an issue with MIDI on the TR-8 and TB-3. I think your best option is to record the midi notes or patterns on one DAW channel, then create duplicates for each drum and then copy and paste to each. Then on each channel, delete the midi parts that don't relate to that channel. You should end up with 11 channels, each with MIDI for each drum, but sharing the same MIDI channel...it's how I route and arrange in Logic with Maschine. Not tried it yet with the TR-8, but should be fine.

That's a good idea. It sucks that it doesn't have midi per pad but it's not too big of a deal. Thanks for the help!
