TB-3 won't power up via USB

Post by mezonoxian »

Does anyone else have this issue?

I have connected the USB cable and when I turn on the TB-3, nothing happens.
I thought "oh what the hell, let's use the AC adapter then" and used that simultaneously - nothing happens. My computer does not find the TB-3 at all.
I'm using a 2.3 GHz i7 Mac Mini, with OSX 10.9.3 and I have proper cables. What am I missing?
Thanks.

Did you download the software from Roland's site and install it FIRST, before pluggin it in via USB?

yeah, i did. :) that's what's confusing. i did everything according to what roland says, but still - nothing.
though i managed to get it to work with my daw (logic) and everything, it still does not operate via usb power. only with the ac adapter.
