System-1 and Yosemite beta

Idiotically i have installed the Yosemite beta and recently bought the System-1 and now I cannot connect the board to My macbook. Strangely the sh101 plug in runs fine.
I wondered if anyone else had the same issue and if there was a workaround.....wiping my mac is not an option and, although I can boot into Windows 8, my DAW (Logic) is in OSX.
