Backup and Restore on TR-8 7x7 ?

I took the plunge and updated to the 7x7 and the latest OS v.1.11 on the TR-8. Still not getting the Backup and Restore
•Manage your kit and pattern library with easy backup and restore over USB

Does this actually work or what ? It seems I only get the Factory patterns to restore every time I do this.
