Brand New TR8 broken?

I've had my TR-8 for no more than a day and a half and now the sequencer is only blinking every 2nd step. I tried a FW update and a Factory Reset with still no luck. It was working perfecting fine earlier. Im trying to figure out if this is a setting or is the system a dud?

At one point I was messing with Midi connections and I had my TR-8 and my Mini Nova on the same channel trying to do tempo clocks realizing that having them on the same connection was controlling them. When I would change through patches and such it was changing drums on the TR-8 I realized what I was doing and changed the channels back to being different, could that have mess it up? I would think a FW update would fix it.

you should put the "shuffle" to center position ---turning clockwise is positive shuffle---counterclockwise is negative shuffle...
