System 1 (Real and VST) configuration on Ableton Live (??!)

Hello,

I have problem to configure correctly my System 1.

I have the System-1 keyboard, patch version 1.2
and the VST-plug-in/out 32 bits
I am on Win 10, Ableton Live 9 suite 32 bits
Driver System 1 installed

I can play, record, the buttons are acting the same when i use the keyboard and the VST ...

My problem is : I can not load the soundbanks or send System1 (or another like the System 100 VST) in plug-out mode.

I have always this message

"either the plug-out synthesizer is not connected, or is connected incorrectly"

But still miss me something i mean ....
I have always the same message for missconfiguration ...

I can not see for example The system 1 on USB ports in "MIDI Sync" menu, like in this video ...
and nor in the external instruments ...
i dont understand how to install external instuments ...
I select External instruments and i configure what I selected in "MIDI Sync" ...
I never saw and external instrument listed under the menu "External instruments".

So in MIDI Sync, I have not my SYSTEM 1 in MIDI CONTROL SURFACE, only in OUTPUT and INPUT scroll ...

Anf if they say in those videlos they must not be selected in Ableton, how ableton will recognize my SYSTEM-1 ??

Any solution ?

EUREKA !!!!!! ;-)

Just connected the Microsoft GS wavetable Synth in MIDI Sync with all buttons .... and it works !!

I have not Internet in my local, so i go home to install, update, etc ...
So not my soundcard too ... staying at the local ...

2 weeks for such a detail lol ...

With beginers like me, it's cool the begin by the begining ;-)

Hi, I had this same issue and another roland clan forum user gave me the tip to make it work.

In ableton, in the midi settings under preferences, you need to DISABLE all inputs and outputs of the 1m.
Then the 1m vst will let you use the midi in / out for the librarian functions (for pc use 1m -contl, mac use 1m).

I havent done this next part yet, but I was told to then reenable the midi in out of the 1m in ableton preferences
