TR8 - SIDECHAIN KILLS SNARE

Hey there!
I am new to the board.
I love the TR8 but I ran into a weird problem:
When using the sidechain type number 4 (awesome one, so musical when used right), the snare gets really low. No other sound gets affected but the snare. I always have to bring it up with additional gain which is really uncomfortable in a live set.
I am on the latest update, 7x7 installed as well.
Does anyone else have this as well?
