Polyphonic plugouts

Post by jerry_merry »

I love the Roland plugouts/ins. One thing that I wished they added to the Vst/Au DAW option was to make them polyphonic (I know purists may hate this) So the Promars for example could be made to a Jupiter 4 if it had 4 voices. So I hit Google and I found this neat little MidiFX plugin for Logic Pro called Mono2Poly. Create as many channel plugin instances you want polyphony. Add the midi fx Mono2Poly to each channel. Set each channel the note order and total polyphony for each MidiFX plugin and record enable each track. Now you have a polyphonic instance of a mono synth. Yep it can get cpu hungry....but it's really a great way to squeeze more from the mono plugins. It will work with any mono softsynth.

P.s. It was Altas007 at Logic Pro Help who created this. Most thanks.
