Just a post to say: New System-1 owner!
I have very modest piano playing ability, and I have no synthesizer experience. I decided to get the System-1 to have fun, including to be able to carry out some faux/replica modular synthesis, but also to have an instrument with a fair supply of preset voices and plenty of knobs to turn. My young boys should like all this, as well - they like the Yamaha PSR-275 a lot.
I plan to goof around with a lot of the versatility, and eventually do DAW / VST by hooking up one of our computers, and hopefully creating some ambient music that I listen to, anyway, for work and study. I also may eventually get a Korg MS-20 if I can get a hold on the "modular" modules, since that seems to have so much patch ability, although monophonic.
I will have a lot of questions! Thanks in advance!
