TR-8 on a stereo sum

I have all instruments sent to submixer (Mackie 802VLZ4) which sends the stereo sum to TR-8. Eventually the sum signal from TR-8 is compressed in the RNLA which goes out directly to PA:

3 SYNTHESIZERS >> SUB-MIXER >> TR-8 >> COMPRESSOR > stereo out

The reason for this setup lays behind the TR-8's scatter effects & sidechain options. My question is, if I am not losing something by running all instruments as "one pile" via TR-8 external input? Any recommendations or tips? any sound engineers using TR-8?

(I tried also putting RNLA compressor before TR-8, but then the drum kick and overall fatness was lost).
