Tr-8 Trouble

What's up my people?!
So, just got a tr-8 and I'm really confused. Everything works, sounds great, generally stoked. I'm running into Ableton Live 9 and routing audio successfully to 11 individual channels, sweet. I do understand that Scatter as well as effects won't work on the factory firmware 1.0. Check.
Downloaded and installed 1.5 successfully and still no effects abilities recording into the DAW (Scatter needs the time ruler playing, I'm doing that). Looked everywhere and cannot find a clear answer as to which firmware update I need.
1.1 fixed all the stuff I'm looking for, but is not listed on the Roland site. Only things listed are
- TR-8 System Program (Ver.1.50)
- TR-8 Driver Ver.1.5.2 for macOS 10.13
- TR-8 Driver Ver.1.5.1 for macOS / OS X
- TR-8 Driver Ver.1.0.0 for Mac OS X
Any advice out there? I've also read on this forum that Roland does not support drivers for Mac OS 10.9 anymore. I'm on 10.9.5. Does anyone have a driver they can send me?? Thanks in advance!!
