Hi folks, I've done a bit of research but don't understand why the TR-8 has a Pre-Scale toggle and the tr-8s does not. As far as I understand on the tr-8 if I want a 4/4 time I select Pre-Scale 3 or 4 depending on the fidelity/granularity i want. With a 3/4 I would be selecting Pre-Scale 1 or 2 and setting the Last Step to 12.
The graphics are the same above the 1-16 pads but I don;t understand where the pre-Scale is.
I've obviously misunderstood something.
thanks

Re: TR8S No Pre-Scale.. Why
On the TR8S
1. You press and hold "Shift" & "Pattern Select" buttons
2. You scroll the value wheel till you find "Scale"
3. You select the scale you want then press "Enter"
4. You press "Pattern Select" again
It was better layed out on the TR8 where it was just a button on the TR8S it's buried in the menu.
