Separation of MIDI

I use a Tascam DM3200 as my DAW, which has a remote MIDI controller.
Normally I would use a separate track for each items of my percussion instruments
eg Kick=MIDI track 10, Snare= MIDI track 9, etc
Seeing that the TR8s uses a single MIDI track, which the notes assigned to the instrument.
Is it possible to separate it like my previous setup?
One reason why, is that I use my DAW as a MIDI fader for each instrument
